Yoga means meditation. It is one of the six traditional darśanas (“mirrors”) in which one sees the true nature of the Self: clear, joyful and transcendent.
Iyengar Yoga uses the finite body-mind as a doorway into this  inner sanctuary.
As part of this process, students are asked to be “in the present moment” during the class. It can be challenging to cultivate a meditative consciousness and also deeply nourishing.

All bodies are finite and, therefore, subject to limitations (ie, general stiffness, joint issues, etc).  Our Teachers are skilled at encouraging students to go beyond their perceived limitations and also adept at providing general adaptations to the postures being taught or alternative options as needed.

Attending class twice per week is most beneficial and highly suggested, although not always possible.

Home practice is essential to progress…fifteen minutes a day can make a big difference in the quality of your outer and inner life.

Classes are hybrid (in-person and online) unless stated otherwise and may occasionally be taught online-only, as a result of inclement weather or to accommodate Holly’s travel schedule.

All classes are 90 minutes in duration (and often go over by 10 – 15 minutes).
